Byinux for Labs

Dental Lab Management, Connected.

One platform for the work that moves through your lab: cases and proposals, how each service is produced, what it costs, and the team and facilities behind it.

Illustrative interface with sample data.

Key workflow

One case, one record, from request to production.

Each stage builds on the information captured before it. Stages still in development are labelled.

  1. 01

    Case intake

Capture the request, tooth chart, prescription and files.

  2. 02

    Review

Clarify open questions and check the case is complete.

  3. 03

    Proposal

Issue a proposal the dentist accepts from a secure link.

  4. 04

    Production

Move the accepted case into production on a defined route.

  5. 05

    Work orders

Step-by-step work orders on the bench.

    In development
  6. 06

    Quality check

    Recorded checks before delivery.

Case management

Cases and proposals

Structured intake, organized files and a proposal lifecycle that dentists can complete from a secure link.

Case management in detail
  • Guided case intake

A step-by-step request form covers intent, treatment area, tooth chart, prescription items, specifications and conditions. Drafts can be saved and finished later.

  • Files and references

Attach scans, photos and documents in organized file groups, and record external references alongside the case.

  • Proposals with a clear lifecycle

Prepare a proposal, issue it, and track whether it is accepted, declined, withdrawn, expired or revised.

  • Approval without an account

Dentists open a secure, single-purpose link to accept or decline a proposal. Authorizations are confirmed with a one-time email code.

  • Conversation and clarifications

Keep questions, clarifications and comments attached to the case they belong to, instead of scattered across phone and chat.

  • Activity history

Every case keeps an activity timeline, and administrators have an audit trail of significant changes.

Production

Production structure

Describe how each service is made and who can make it. Work orders and quality checks are in development.

Production in detail
  • Process templates

Describe how a type of work is produced as an ordered set of steps, then reuse that template wherever it applies.

  • Step library

Maintain one shared library of production steps, with the labor, machine and material resources each step uses.

  • Production routes per offering

Link each service offering to the route used to make it, so production structure and pricing describe the same work.

  • Shifts and skills

Define shifts, assign people to them, and record skills and skill levels across the team.

  • Start production from an accepted proposal

Once a proposal is accepted, the case moves into production with a clear, recorded status change.

  • In development

    Work orders and step tracking

Generating work orders from routes and tracking each step on the bench is being built. It is not part of the current release.

  • In development

    Quality checks

Recording quality checks as part of the production flow is planned and not yet available.

Costing

Cost management

Separate, explicit cost sources for materials, labor, machines and overhead, combined into a traceable standard cost.

Cost management in detail
  • Materials

Material master data with specifications, units and a standard unit cost, plus stock in, stock out and adjustments per facility.

  • Labor

Labor sources hold a cost amount and basis (hour, day, week or month), normalized to an hourly standard using the facility working calendar.

  • Machines

Separate the standard machine resource a step requires from the physical machine assets you own and their effective-dated cost facts.

  • Expenses

Expense sources carry budgets for overhead; expense records capture what was actually spent.

  • Allocation rules and capacity

Spread machine, material and overhead costs with explicit allocation rules and capacity drivers rather than hidden percentages.

  • Save, review, then publish

Configured cost sources follow Save → Draft → Publish, so a change only affects runtime costs once someone publishes it.

Operations

Operations and administration

The organizational backbone the rest of the product relies on.

  • Facilities and calendars

Model each facility with a default working calendar: a working week plus special dates such as closures or half days.

  • Team, roles and permissions

Invite members, place them in departments and job titles, and control what each role can see and change.

  • Clinic and dentist directory

Keep the clinics and dentists you work with, and their contacts, in one directory linked to their cases.

  • Services, pricing and service levels

Define what you sell, the service levels you offer, and pricing strategies that can differ by clinic.

Who uses it

Built for everyone who touches a case.

  • Lab owners and managers

See where cases stand and what your services cost to produce.

  • Case coordinators

Capture complete requests and keep proposals and clarifications moving.

  • Technicians and designers

Work from clear prescriptions, files and agreed production routes.

  • Operations and finance

Maintain cost sources, facilities, calendars and permissions in one place.

FAQ

Questions labs ask us.

Who is Byinux for Labs designed for?

Dental laboratories that want case intake, proposals, production structure and cost information in one system instead of spreadsheets, email and paper tickets.

Do dentists need a Byinux account?

No. Dentists accept or decline proposals and confirm authorizations through secure, single-purpose links. Authorizations are confirmed with a one-time code sent by email.

Does Byinux manage work orders on the bench?

Not yet. Today Byinux covers production structure: process templates, a step library, production routes per offering, shifts and skills, and moving an accepted case into production. Work orders, step tracking and quality checks are in development.

How does Byinux work out the cost of a service?

You maintain cost sources for materials, labor, machines and overhead, plus allocation rules and capacity drivers. Byinux combines the published values into a standard cost for each offering. Actual spending is recorded separately so it can be compared, not mixed in. As with any costing model, results depend on the inputs you maintain.

Is there a version for dental clinics?

Not yet. Byinux for Labs is the only product available today. Clinic tools and lab–clinic collaboration are part of our longer-term direction.

How do I get access and pricing?

Pricing is not published yet. Contact us with a short description of your lab and we will reply with the next steps.
